How can you find out who's been on your facebook page?

How can I find out who the owner of a Facebook page is?

  • I want to know if there is a way to let me know who is the owner of a fan page on Facebook. AND/OR Is there any change to know where the profile owner/ page owner is located( you can track an ip-address from a mail you recieved using the header), likewise, can we track a person using facebook?

  • Answer:

When you are on the fan page, 1) click on about 2) takes you to a page where page admins are listed See screenshots below: The only time the admin is not visible is when that person has chosen not to make that information available to the public.  In that circumstance, try some good old fashioned digging to figure it out ... or just ask in an inbox message to connect because you like their stuff [insert whatever your goal is there] :)

Facebook offers the option to identify page owners on the left side of any page. However, if the admins do not choose to make themselves public, there is no way for users to learn who is behind the page. If you are trying to get in contact with the page owner, I recommend posting on the wall or leaving a comment with your email address so an admin to contact you directly.

Facebook Page admins are only publicly displayed if the Page admins have chose to "feature" users who administrate the Page. To view a Page's featured admins, simply view the Page's "About" section.  If no admins are featured, there is no way to find out who is behind the page unless you send a message to the Page and ask them (assuming they have the messages feature enabled). You can configure the featured page owners by clicking "Edit Page" and then clicking "Featured".

There are 2 possibilities : 1. The Admin of the Page has enabled the Facebook feature to show on the Page the names of the admins, but most haven't 2. There is a trick that sometimes works for Pages of big brands. The brand needs to have Facebook buttons on their website (like/shares) for it to work. Let's take the example of Chevrolet. Go to their website. Show the source of the webpage. Find the fb:admin tag. After this tag, there is a number. This is the facebook id of the admin declared by Chevrolet for the Open Graph enabled website. Now go back to facebook. Type http:http://www.facebook.com/%5Bidfound%5D And here you have! the profile of the probable admin of the Chevrolet Page. We can't be sure 100% is the admin of the Page though. He can be declared has owner for the website, but may not be involved in the management of the Page. Note : some websites have OG tags but not the admin one

after researching on http://Google.com i found this: Facebook page hosted by some group of facebook profiles or a single profile can host it. When you create facebook page, there should be a profile attached to that account to access full features. There is a feature of fb pages that you can show number of admin on your page sidebar. But some pages don’t show their admin. So if you wish to see those Admins you can try this trick: Go to your messages tab and click “Other” or “Other Messages” on the sidebar. Here you will see updates from pages, look for the update from a page that you are looking to track admin. Now open an update and go to this update from your mobile device (only facebook mobile site). If you don’t use mobile device you can browse on your desktop browser too, replace ‘WWW’ with ‘M’in address bar and hit Enter. When you'll go to that update by facebook mobile site you will see a profile link in subject line of update, click this link and you will land to profile that is attached to facebook page or say admin of that page. than visit this http://bit.ly/findpageowner and add their email or name Note that You can only apply this trick if page sent you an update ever in past. Pages that didn’t send you any update yet, you cannot see admin of those pages. the whole article can be read at http://www.secretsofgeeks.com/2011/09/tracking-admin-of-facebook-page.html

That very much depends on your reason for wanting to find them. If let's say you just want to get in touch with the owner, it may not be that easy. If there are legal / copyright / intellectual property issues which you want to resolve, you may be able to get their attention by reporting the page.

Hi Page admins are only visible if the page owner has featured them. To find out more information, you can view a page's Contact Info in the About section, or you can send the page a message. Thanks,http://goo.gl/bYlOHk
