Are there any good websites for students who want to learn physics?
-
I am preparing for physics Olympiad and sometimes I don't understand the given solution for a question that have I tried to solve. But,I don't have good physics teachers in my place can clarify my doubts about Olympiad level problems. I believe there are many students out there who have such doubts and don't have good teachers near them. I would like to know some important websites where students can ask questions about their worked out problems or method of solving problems that they can't solve(of course , after trying their best). Are there some sites where the members are student problem solvers and each student shares their knowledge and ask doubts to each other?

Answer:
MeritNation has an Ask & Answer section (http://www.meritnation.com/ask-answer/expert-answers), which seems like what you are looking for. Physics Forums (http://www.physicsforums.com/) also fits the description Browse through and ask questions on StackExchange. One website that I use often is http://physics.org. The 'Explore' section there is a great resource for finding topic specific websites, videos and other learning resources. This doesn't exactly qualify as specifically a problem-solving resource, but is nevertheless great for finding learning tools. You should also consider becoming a 16-19 member on the Institute of Physics website. (http://IOP-student) And lastly, don't give up on finding a good teacher near you. Don't be worried if there are none at your school. Undergrad physics students make great teachers! Most of them will be willing to help you out with any hiccups you might encounter while learning. Good luck!

I doubt whether you will get any website where doubts of Olympiad level will be answered very frequently. By the way if you find one such platform please let others know.

Depends on what level of Physics you want to learn. You can check out http://www.meritnation.com if you want Study Material for Grades 1-12. They teach Physics through Study Material, Animated Videos & have Tests. You can check out the first few modules for free after which you will required a paid account. The website also has a structure called ask and answer where there are all these questions asked by students. Once you post a question, the other members of the website can answer your query. Also, experts from the website tell you the correct solution to the problem within a day or two. Additionally, you can get help for your preparation for Olympiad, on the same website. They have special study material and notes for that too.
