What is the best non-business university class to take when preparing for a startup?
-
As a senior I only need 2 classes to graduate next semester, but I need 4 to keep my scholarship. What would be some good non-business classes that could help a budding entrepreneur hoping to launch a web startup beyond a dorm room?
-
Answer:
Assuming you want to do an Internet startup, I'd try to take programming or systems administration classes, ideally "project" or "lab" classes, vs. pure theory. If you're a tech person, obviously improving your skills is worth it. If you're a business person, having more of an understanding of how the technology works will make it easier to work with tech people, and classes like that (especially senior or grad classes) are a good place to meet future cofounders/employees.
