What types of questions should you post to Branch versus Quora?
-
Are there types of that are better suited for Quora, and vice versa, or will certain question types result in better threads on one service over the other? If so, what types of questions should be posted to Quora, and what types should be posted to Branch?

Answer:
IMHO, Quora is pretty much always better, because it is open by default. Anyone can answer your question. With Branch, people have to be invited to join or request it and then get approved. If you run a conversation, you have to go through the hassle of inviting people to join. Branch is great if you want to have a private conversation that is viewable to the public and you want to limit the people who can reply and talk, but the usage case is actually pretty rare. Branch is also better if you want to have a more "branched" conversation with answers leading to new questions, and people being more able to talk to each other in a more natural wish. I wish Quora offered some product variation where conversations could flow like that. So if you want flow, and want a conversation with only people you approve, branch can work for that. In terms of creating a resource, whether that resource delivers information, emotion, humor, or anything else, Quora pretty much always wins out because that's what it's designed to do. If Quora found a way to turn natural conversations into resources, that would be a new product offering for Quora and then they'd win there too.

IMHO Quora is more about getting more definitive answers and Branch is more about getting scope and exploring possibilities. So I would ask more open-ended questions on Branch.

I really love both services, and I find them very useful and interesting. Maybe it's just me but I think that is about the facts, questions that you need to get answered. On the other hand, is a place where answers may give place to different answers and even more questions. Also I love the fact that is kind of a debate, yes, your opinion is really unique but sometimes you need to back your answers with some facts. And the most amazing thing is the "Branch" concept, you can take any question, answer or idea and start another branch. This allow you to start your very own branch in which you may add your personal perspective, it's all about how information flows. Maybe you'll find this interesting... http://on.branch.com/RqKrcw Cheers, Anon User lol
