What are the pros and cons of a short-term vs a long-term presidential term of office?
-
-
Answer:
Short-term allows for a limit to power to an extent, but depending on how short it does not allow for a president to get you can call a 'proper seat' in order to get critical issues decided, nor may they want to bare the weight of these issues. A long-term would allow for a president to get more than one foot in the door and establish better relations with foreign ambassadors and such. Though, many fear they would gain to much power, and the system would resemble a dictatorship more than a democracy. There are many pro's and con's but these points stand out to compared to most.
