  • Answer:

I'm also pre-med, and the competition is tough. To maximize your chances of admission, you should attend the most prestigious college you are able to so I'm going with Long Beach for now. However, don't count out transferring from Long Beach to the other elite schools you mentioned. Schools that accept transfers from CCs overwhelmingly accept Long Beach applicants as well.

None of your math or science classes at a community college will satisfy any medical school requirements in the US. Your undergrad degree can be anything (did you know?) - you just have to take those extra classes that are needed. You want to make sure you can get a job out of it because most people don't get into any medical school in the US. https://www.eeb.ucla.edu/images/EEBpreprofMedical.pdf http://keck.usc.edu/About/Administrative_Offices/Office_of_MD_Admissions/Admissions_Process.aspx
