    It shouldn't be too late of an appointment but it also depends on what you're wanting done with your hair too. As for the makeup, you could have your mom or a friend do it since you're afraid you'd mess up on it (which you won't). Depending on what you want done with your hair, 5 isn't too late of an appointment. Having your makeup done by your mom or friend wouldn't cost a thing and it'd be much more efficient if they did it rather than going to someone else. Good luck and have fun :)

Depending if your prom group is taking pictures 5 seems so late compared to mine. I'm getting hair at 12, pics with my date at 330, group pics at 4, promenade 530, prom 7. Everything else sounds good. Watch some makeup tutorials and do ur makeup how u want it. Often times you'll spend $50 just to get some eyeshadow mascara and skin stuff. That's what happened to my friend. Def do ur own makeup

i think you could do your own make-up watch some youtube tutorials on how to a nude/brown smokey eye and practise so on the day you wont have a disaster you could borrow a friend or your mums make up and use theirs so you wont have to but your own for just one day.

I would see if one of your friends can help out with the make up part. As for the hair, that should be enough time, but it just depends on what you are getting done too. Good luck!
