Are there any lawyers in Los Angeles that are willing to take a case against the DMV?

This is yahoo answers... not a legal service. Anyone can answer here (and it is prohibited for advertising private services). Sounds to me that they suspect your "birth certificate" might be forged. School id is never accepted. Right there, I believe you are lying. Last.. you seem to not know that you cannot sue them for setting rules and they can/will refuse you "service" if they believe you are not legitimate. Getting a drivers license is NOT a "right". Look in the yellow pages in Los Angeles. I have a hunch you will not find someone to take your "case".

You don't have a case so no lawyer is going to file a suit against the DMV for you. To have a court case, you have to have suffered in some way that can be repaid. That the DMV is driving you crazy is not something the courts can help you with. If you are from another country, take someone with you who can hear whats being said and with whom you can talk in your own language. You might be misunderstanding what you're being told. There are a lot of DMV offices in the LA area. Go to a different one. Lose the attitude and, if you have any questions, ask them in a civilized manner. If like most of us in SoCal, you have an Auto Club membership, go to the AAA and ask them to explain to you what you need to take to the DMV to get your license. Here's the CA driver's license info. Look up exactly what you need. Print out the requirements if you have to. And, it doesn't matter what documents your friends used or didn't use. If you bring a xeroxed copy and the office wants an official copy, then you have to have an official copy. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dlapp_lnks.htm

First of all, you've got to wear a shirt and shoes when you go to the office. Secondly, you've got to bring your license or proof of identification. Third of all, your license can't be suspended and you have to know how to drive. Have I covered their reason, or do you expect people to guess? I mean there are a lot of ambulance chasers out there, but I don't think anyone qualified is so hard up as to take you up on your offer.

They have the right to refuse service to anyone they want. And lawyers do not take cases off of Yahoo Answers. Further, if they did, they would not take a case with no chance of winning.
