Which type mushrooms are poisonous?

What type of mushrooms are these?

  • What type of mushrooms are these? http://tinypic.com/r/aaka2v/8

  • Answer:

It could be some Psilocybe or some deadly Galerina or one of a hundred other genera There isn't enough information. If they had a purplish brown spore print, a gelatinous cap cuticle that can be peeled, blue staining reaction from brusing then they could be classified as presumably the genus Psilocybe which contains many psilocybin containing mushrooms. There are also a few other genus besides psilocybe like Panaeolus that contain psilocybin containing mushrooms.

they don't look particularly good for eating. Probably "horse mushrooms", but extremely common, not for eating or experimenting with. My father, who was great at finding the edible ones, used to call them "piss mushrooms"
