  Nope. Online courses are generally offered by for profit companies that are not given the certifications that allow them to issue diplomas that are accepted by companies. University of Phoenix is an exception. They are accredited. Accreditation is the key word here. A lot of schools will say they are accredited but if you delve deeper and ask them are they nationally accredited..most are forced to tell you no or they will slip the answer by saying we are accredited in California, or in New Jersey. But they won't say nationally. So, do a little more homework on the institution first.
