Will i get notify if i sent a email to a yahoo answer users?

iF they respond to your email it will go into your email inbox, but you do NOT get a confirmation email, just message that your email was successfully sent along the bottom of the screen for about 5 seconds. . That is the acknowledgement.

When you send an email by clicking the option in someone's Y!A profile, and you compose the email in the window provided, you get an immediate message on the screen (not an email) that your message was sent. You don't get an email confirmation that it was sent. The system works, so you know the email was sent. It goes to Yahoo! first, and then automatically sent to the person you're emailing. That's how all email addresses are kept anonymous.

You will not be notified that your message was sent, nor will it show up in your Sent folder in your email account. If they REPLY to you, you will get their message in your Inbox of your email account, it will come from Yahoo Answers and say "You have received a message from another user". If you OPEN that email, it will contain the message and a special reply link to use. This keeps both your email address and their email address private.

I've never gotten a confirmation email, but in my experience, the message was always delivered, and the person answers. But I'm careful to put specific information in the subject line to show the person that I'm not spam. Example: "Name of that song from the 80's in your Y!A question"
