To gain weight you need to combine protein foods with starchy carbohydrates as indicated below. Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, corn, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. This is something tha frustrates me, although it is probably not your fault. If you want to gain weight there are lots of things you can do. The biggest things that contribute to weight gain are, water, fats, carbs and muscle(protein). You are only young so chances are you will grow naturally and not worry when you hit 21. Saying that it is a great age to really commit to being healthy. My advice to you, and feel free to message me, is: Work out, this includes cardio as you are only starting out and cardio has health benefits as much as anything. 'Pump iron' it can be a very good idea to just start with your body weight, I.e. push ups, dips, pull ups. Do basic dumbell exercises 3 times a week and keep a strong routine going. If you nail that side of things the biggest thing is diet. Increase your meal 3-5 (therefor more frequent) Carbs(pasta, rice, potatoes, bread) Protein(meat and fish) Vegetables!!!! Dont skip meals. And I am running out of characters now so thats all

Lift heavy weights and eat big meals!!! Right now you can eat any kind of carbohydrates along with protein throughout your day and lots of it!!! Try eating roughly 200 grams of carbs a day and roughly 90 grams of protein, it doesn't have to be exact that's just a good range if you want to see results but you're also gonna have to lift those weights if you wanna gain muscle instead of fat.
