Hitachi tv 42PD5000 has no sound but has picture?

With out putting additional speakers I don't get any sound at all from my tv. There is also a continuous buzzing sound coming from the TV speakers. I recently got given a Chrome ...show more

Disconnect everything and start from the beginning. If you have sound with nothing plugged in, you then know it's not the TV. You don't mention what cables you are using to connect to what ports. If you are using external sound outputs (stand alone speakers), how are you connecting them t the TV, and with what cables. The Chrome cast requires an app to be downloaded to a smart phone, which then controls the what you see n the TV. Has that been set-up correctly? According to the manual, the TV does NOT have a HDMI port, which the Chromecast requires. In all reality, you need to supply more info than you have if you want someone to help you.
