Can I use my laptop to record wii gameplay or do I need a video card?

coax TV inputs is how cable boxes and older video game systems (NES, SNES, etc. when not using AV cables) connected to the TV. Now most things use component or HDMI, I've not used my coax port in my TV in years. As for recording Wii gameplay on a laptop, I think the USB-connected TV tuners (AV connected) will work just fine. I bought the items needed for my son to record Wii U gameplay, and since it's HD, needed a little more horsepower than just the USB version, but for Wii gameplay, that should work just fine.
