Which advisor is better? (FINANCIAL ADVISORS?

How do I find a financial advisor for a young couple in debt? In my search, I just come up with wealth or retirement advisors.?

  • Prefer a fee only, certified advisor, but none seems oriented towards people just starting out in life.

  • Answer:

Two places: A debt counselor affiliated with the nonprofit National Foundation for Credit Counseling http://nfcc.org Or a financial advisor affiliated with the Garrett Planning Network (generally for people with wealth, but they help everyone): http://garrettplanningnetwork.com/ Good luck!

Well, you aren't starting out in life if you are looking for a financial advisor to help with your debt. What are your goals at this time? Get out of debt? If so, consolidate and pay everything off. You can always try one of those guys, I bet they'd be willing to help you for a fee. Old people get into debt troubles too.
