    Brittney, you may want to consider forming a study group with your peers in the class. Usually if one student has concerns/questions, others typically do as well.

What's your question? Is there a Medical Coder out there? Yes, and there are a few that occasionally come on here. Unfortunately, this degree is relatively useless, at least around here. Our larger clinics want people with medical office experience. Our smaller clinics want customer service or office experience. No one requires a Medical Administrative Assistant degree. It doesn't take the place of experience. If they want an office manager, they expect a BA or an MBA/MHA. Have you researched the job market to see if this degree actually gets you a job, or would working the front desk at a State Farm office be enough to get you in with a new dentist or new solo provider?
