How to avoid handling fees for tax from customs for deliveries out of the uk?

Keep each order below the VAT and customs 'limit' (you will have to check it = seem to recall it's 35 Euro ..) Needless to say, sellers offering 'free postage' are the ones to go for .. so 5 DVD's can be ordered one at a time ... But be warned .. ordering more than one eg DVD/CD 'too quickly' can result in the seller 'combining' your order (and going over the limit) ..

I have ordered from different countries, and if it is a private seller, they usually don't charge VAT, they declare the item as a gift. I have sent items to buyers from out of the country as well, I also declare the item as a gift so no customs tax needed to be paid, but all depends on the value of the item.

If you want to lease your own customs bond area at each location that packages may be brought in to the country, then either employ someone or visit each yourself to do the customs paperwork whenever packages arrive, you can completely avoid carrier clearance fees. However, unless you are handling millions of pounds worth of goods, it's pretty much guaranteed that the carriers handling fees will be far cheaper.

Travel overseas and bring the purchases back in your baggage - then when you declare them you will just get customs charges and VAT. If a courier, ot he post, is delivering them they will have to handle this for you, and you will get charged a fee.
