If i jailbreak my new playstation 3, can i able to download updates or DLC packs for my games.?

And which ps3 game's files have to be burnt in disc and can i able to play from disc without jailbreak,guys this is my big big doubt please reply for these question,i will be more ...show more

To jailbreak a PS3, you have to reset the firmware back to 3.55 or earlier. In order to use PSN for ANYTHING (going online, downloading DLC, game updates, even PLAYING online, you MUST have the most recent version of the firmware. If you don't, not only do you not get to go online, but during the attempt the jailbreak will be detected and your account will be banned from PSN. Those are the PS3/PSN terms and conditions in a nutshell.
