What can you do besides getting another passport about lost passports?

I have lost my Passport in the Phillipines as a U.S. citizen. Will even misdemeanor fines in the USA keep me from getting a new Passport?

  • There is misdemeanor probation there and unpaid fines. I need to know since the charges are so small, if this will keep me from obtaining a replacement Passport?

  • Answer:

No. I do not think the misdemeanor case would be an impediment for you to have a new passport. Unless the crime involving people versus the government of the US of A. That would barred you to have a new passport.

You can go to any US Embassy or Consulate in the Philippines to get a new US Passport. misdemeanor fines will not affect you only felonies will. You will need to have your passport to extend your visa, make your annual report or even get on the airplane to go home. so you better go do it now.
