How to replace a broken light bulb "socket"?

    Replacing a socket is easy and all the parts are available at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace - any place that sells home improvement supplies can help you. You would probably be safe enough just turning off the switch, but do the job right and turn off the breaker. Just because I play it fast and loose sometimes doesn't mean it's either smart or safe, nor would it be good advice. So find the breaker and turn it off. It's too easy for someone to come along and automatically turn on the switch upon entering the dark room - ZAP. So, breaker.

Your better off to turn off your MAIN SWITCH, have a friend or neighbour when ya try doing it,too. If it stuffs up ( ya could die ) better being safe than sorry ! Or get a sparkie in to do it, and hava few beers after he/she is done... Ya will live to see another few years,too.... :))
