Is there a train station in Heathrow?

Getting from Heathrow airport to a train station to luton?

  • how do i get from heathrow airport to a train station to Luton? Is it fair from the airport to a train station? Or would I have to take a cab to a train station?

  • Answer:

The best way to get from Heathrow to Luton is by train. You can catch a train at Heathrow Airport and take it to Paddington Station. At Paddington, change to the London Underground, where you can catch a Circle Line or a Hammersmith & City Line train to Kings Cross/St. Pancras. Then, go to St. Pancras and catch a train to Luton.

All 5 terminals at Heathrow have a train station incorporated in them - just follow the signs when you exit customs and they will direct you to walk to where you can choose the fast but expensive Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect or the cheaper but slower London Underground Piccadilly line which will get you to St Pancras where you can get an overground train to Luton station.

Hi I come from near Luton. There are National Express coaches to/from Heathrow central terminal and terminal 4, which stop at Luton railway station and the Galaxy Centre in town which is five minutes walk away and also call at the airport. Otherwise use the 724 Green Line coach from the same Heathrow Central bus terminal which is well signposted all over the airport. That 724 goes to St. Albans and then get the 321 bus to Luton 9 miles north of there, which runs every 20 minutes through the day, less often in the evenings, takes 25 minutes from St Albans and drops you at Park Square, 7 minutes walk from the rail station and then goes to the airport. Lots of routes go from Park Square to the airport. It takes 15 minutes and costs a whopping £2 from town..... See on the link below for St Albans....it's the same for you, then get the 321 from the same street...St Peter's street ....where you get off the 724 in St. Albans. It's cheaper than a train into London and back out to Luton and it's normally quicker too. Anybody local living in Luton wouldn't think of going into London and changing stations in London and then getting the tube out to Heathrow. That's the long and expensive way to do it.. If you want to go by train anyway and you're heading for Luton Airport get off the train at Luton Parkway one stop before Luton town and get the free shuttle bus to the airport which runs every 15 minutes and takes 5 minutes for the journey. The 724 is the only Green Line coach you can use a day explorer ticket on. It costs £8 for one person £12 for two to four people in a group. . You can't use them between Heathrow and Watford ( rotten lot!) so buy a fare to Watford, stay on the coach and then ask the driver for an Explorer ticket. You can use it on the 321 as well so the journey is fairly cheap that way, still works out cheaper than the train, and you can use it locally on any bus with an Explorer sign, which is most of them, for a run round later, for local bus connections or up to the airport if you want a look at the town first. http://www.intalink.org.uk/default.asp?contentID=644 . . . . . Luton hotel if needed, budget price. If you have an overnight to wait around you can sleep on the floor at Luton airport if you have an airline ticket. Loads do. Near the coffee bar at the far end there is a spare bit of wall with sleeping bags lined up along it most nights. First flights are around 6am, check in from 5am. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AotF7Lai5c_0IJ1SBPXJaV4hBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20110408100248AAcs7Y0

Heathrow has its own train station, which will take you to Central London, where you can travel onwards to Luton. Bus travel is a cheaper option, but will be much slower. http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/?abandon=true

To get from LHR to Luton by train you need to go into central London and out again, it's long and tedious but there is a better way. Use the inter airport coach service, it departs from the central bus station close to terminal 3 and goes direct to Luton Airport.
