How can I get old makeup stains out of my carpet?

    You can remove the eye liner stains with shaving cream. Any brand works as long as it's the typical white foamy shaving cream. Dampen the stain with water. Scrub in some shaving cream. Then clean with damp cloths until the stain plus the shaving cream are gone. After cleaning, press dry cloths on the area to dry the carpet. Shaving cream is nothing but whipped soap that rinses easily. The last thing you want to use on carpet is a sudsy soap...you'd never get the suds out. Shaving cream removes most stains like magic, but it rinses out easily. If you’re skeptical, shaving cream even removed lipstick from carpet for this woman. i do this all the time i get mascara in my carpet and its all over and i think HOW DID I GET IT THERE lol. bicarbonate of soda, lemon juice (fresh or bottled) and boiling water - soak the carpet where stained and leave for 10 mins - dab first then circular motion ususally you will still get a light stain after this .. vanish will clear that up within mins!

If they have been there a long time then you will not get these out my daughter did this and covered it up using a rug we ended up replacing the carpet
