Where to ride BMX in Phoenix?

My 5 year old wants me to get a BMX and ride with him at the local ramps, any recommendations on a good BMX?

    Seeing as now you are a big guy who has forgotten some of what you learned and can't take the hits like a little guy, how about a dirt jump mtb with a little bit of front suspension. They are light, fast, and more forgiving than a true bmx bike, and just as fun in my book.

WOH!!! Ur the koolest dad ever!!! lol, i wish my dad was around wen i was little 2 bike w/ me :( ANYWAY, any frame size between 21" and 22" should be ideal for you... ex: 21" and 21.25" toptube frames should be good... If you want an even larger frame, MacNeil makes the Deuce Deuce frame that has a 22" toptube :D ... Also, a lot of companies are coming out with "cruisers" which I'm sure you know are pretty much adult BMX bikes on 24" wheels... These are shitloads of fun and let you stand out from the usual crowd and are sick for dirt jumps! DK, (I heard), makes an affordable cruiser. GoodLuck man! Shop around! Here are a few sites to get you started!... (and it doesn't matter what his age is... helmet, pads and gloves do just fine... ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT!!! do NOT get a WalMart bike if you're planning on doing any kind of tricks of any sort!!! These bikes are HEAVY and will put you through HELL! For any kind of performance riding, u need a performance bike.)

ill tell you what kind of 5 year old, a 5 year kid with POTENTIAL!!!! damn if he wants you to get a bike id JUMP RIGHT on it. that kid has got somethin goin if hes already into it and wants you in too. theres all kinds of good bmx bikes. if i were you id go to walmart or toys r us and get a cheap 100-200 dollar bike, you beign a parents wont need the usual name brand bike. or if you wana take it somewhere go to a local bike shop and check into a freestyle bike or somthin, there quite a bit more money though, id get a name brand bike for your son before yourself though. great idea though, good bonding time.
