Answer:
Colleges will need to have your SAT/ACT scores by their application deadlines: UCSD & Berekely deadline: Nov 30, 2014 Stanford Deadline: Dec 31, 2014 Therefore, you should plan to have all your testing complete by October, or November at the latest. There's no limit to the number of times you can take a test, but testing more than three or four times is usually not beneficial, because your score is unlikely to improve much after that many times. I would suggest taking the tests in September, and perhaps again in October if you think you need to. Use the summer wisely and spend some time doing practice tests online, or using practice books from the library or bookstore. If you can afford it, working with a private tutor can help to improve on specific areas that you're weakest on.

My junior and senior year I took 3 SAT tests. I sent none of them because I didn't know what I was doing. I went ahead and went to a community college, but I am now transferring because I have an idea of what I want to do. I suggest you go speak with your counselor and they will let you know how high of a score you need in order to get accepted in each university since each one of them have different requirements. I feel like if you take more than 3 SAT's or ACT's it will just look kinda bad. Study real hard for the next ones and do your best. You still have until your senior year to prepare yourself, so no pressure. Good luck.

Most universities will accept the best out of 3 scores.

as many as u can afford. u then choose the highest score for college applications. use a library to figure out how to pay for the schools as student loans are FOREVER or till paid off. understand for each 10,000$ u borrow, in CA u need to earn at least 40,000$ to pay it off. have an adult teach u about the college systems/scams. do pick a career that is actually IN demand and pays well. many don't
