I looked into K12, but ended up going with Forest Trail Academy, an online accredited high school based in Florida. This is my first year homeschooling, and I really like it so far! Oh, I'm a Junior by the way. I love how you can work around your schedule, and at your own pace. You have to do 20 hours of work a week, so 4-5 hours a day. You don't HAVE to do every subject every day, but you are less likely to fall behind if you do. Right now, I am doing English more than anything else because I am good at it and want to get the course out of the way. You can do more work than is required and finish school early....some students I know in the Forest Trail Academy have finished a grade level in 5 or 6 months! Reading is very important, because there is alot of reading instruction, and you must read the directions carefully. Sometimes you'll read, or watch a video, or a slideshow. I've had no problems transitioning from my old Private School to online school. Homeschooling takes discipline though, the work isn't any easier than regular school, just work better with my schedule/life.
