Answer:
yes it will be sore probably but you never can tell a couple of weeks wash it daily, CUT YOUR NAILS, NOT TO SHORT, ingrown toenails are caused partly by cutting the nails to short. it wont look weird just kinda different.

i have had the same done, and i have to have it done AGAIN next week :p ANYWAYS :) 1 yes, you can take a shower just try and not let water hit it directly. keep a bandage on it. 2 yes, it will be sore :( but it wont hurt to bad you might walk a little while with a small limp but it will be gone by the next day. 3 you should be fine for monday, just have some pain killers on you (advil, aleve, etc...) because it might be soor. 4 by monday you should be fine :) 5 okay, the BIGGEST thing is to KEEP IT CLEAN. hydrogen peroxide can be your best friend lmao :) then you may want to get some gauze and just use tape and tape it around the toe i have found that the best way to do it. hope this helped<3
Hi! I didn't have an angrown toenail removed, but I did have a minor surgery on my tow because I stubbed it so hard the bone chipped. I didn't realize it until about a year after, though, so I had to have surgery and get the nail removed and the bone splinter taken out. Ouch! 1) Well, You can, just keep your foot out of the water. I just put a few plastic bags on my foot. ^_^ 2) No. It'll hurt like HELL. >_< 3) I wouldn't recommend it. I waited about a month before I started getting involved with physical activities again. 4) For me, it took about 2 months. I don't know how long it would be for a simple ingrown toenail, but I guess you'll know. 5) Polysporin, guaze and bandages. Keep it elevated. I suggest going for a follow-up a week after to mamke sure everything's going alright. I hope I helped! ^_^ Good luck with your toe! ps- No, your feet will not look gibbled for the rest of your life. It should heal normally, but if it doesn't, then that's what follow-ups are for, to make sure everything's healing properly. =]
