Is CNA a good to start if I want to be a nurse?

Is a CNA good to get even if I don't want be a nurse? (but still medical)?

    It is hard work, as in physically hard work. The turn over rate is high. Basically it is a thankless job, which is a shame because it does not pay much. When it comes to medicine / science major, the longer and the more difficult the training / degree, the more it pays. CNA takes just a few weeks (to a couple of months) to learn, and this is the reason why it pays so little.

excellent way to get experience in the medical field to be sure it is what you want to do in your career. You'll start learning terminology and be exposed to a medical/clinical setting

If you want to go into therapy, then you would be far better off getting a job as an aide in a therapy department. You don't need any training for that, but it would give you exposure to different sorts of therapists and what they do, and would be excellent for getting hours which you will need to get into school in most therapy fields. Doing CNA work would be beneficial in terms of getting some exposure to the medical field in general, but wouldn't give you any information about therapy specifically.

I would say if you dont plan on being a nurse it may be a waste of time. I am an LVN and my CNAs work their butts off. Its back breaking work and it pays maybe 10-14/hr. Youre better off being a medical assistant for the same pay and less labor. Just my opinion
