Answer:
They were around $150 at Alfred Angelo. I thought that was a steal though & they were knee length so a lot less fabric than your dresses I'm sure.

My bridesmaids paid about $175 and that was 15 years ago at a neighborhood bridal shop. We only had 3 months to put everything together, so there wasn't much time to shop around. Very nice of you to pay for the dresses. I wish we could have afforded to do that.

My bridesmaids dresses were 135 from david's bridal. My sister's bridesmaid dresses were 155 from david's. Everybody paid for their own dresses I love Bill Levkoff I love Alfred Angelo too

$210 Saison Blanche dresses for my girls If you haven't ordered the dresses yet, check out NetBride.com and email them for a quote on the dresses, they were a TON cheaper than the bridal salons we checked out, and I've gotten two dresses from them in the past. I love working with them.

Well mine paid $67. We found dresses that we all agreed on and like for 50% off. (so they were $130 dresses) I actually haven't seen any for more than $150 in my area (well a couple but they were VERY extravagant). For me, I wanted to keep the cost as low as possible for them (both are paying for their own schooling at the moment). So when we saw them on sale we jumped on them.

I think $268/dress is in line with what high end moderate bridesmaid dresses cost these days. Your post gave me cause for concern & I want to point it out to you, in the event that I am correct. <my last two bridesmaids chose their dresses today and the price tag was $268 per dress> I assume you have other bridesmaids, who were obviously able to find cranberry, floor length, chiffon dresses at a much lower price. You may have a hornet's nest on your hands when the bridesmaids who shopped carefully find out the last two "went to town" on your dime. Figure out how you're going to handle this in advance.

I am having a destination wedding, so its a little bit different. My bridesmaids are paying for their own shoes and dresses. I am paying for the flower girls dress. I am also paying for their hair and make up to be done on the day of, I am also renting a house for all of them to stay at for a week, I am also paying for 3 rental cars for the entire bridal party and parents rental cars. I also allowed the bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses, I just chose the color fabric and length, like you did. My bridesmaids are not throwing me a shower, my aunt is, so all they are paying for is their dress which I found for $150 and their plane fare, from Detroit to San Diego. I am also getting them a very nice gift. I think that in the end they are actually paying less than most bridesmaids do in non-destination weddings.

We bought bridesmaid dresses from J Crew and they were $130 (including tax and shipping) for each dress. I bought them all and put them on a J Crew card because I had a 20% off coupon and got an extra 10% off for opening a card. All of my girls paid me back for their dress except for my MOH who I told not to send any money. She's got two kids and not a lot of expendable income, so I didn't want to put her out at all. I'm really a fan of the bridesmaid dresses at J Crew. Not a single bridesmaid had to have her dress altered. :)
