What is a better job: Physician Assistant or Nursing?

Can i become a physician assistant with a BA on Nursing Science, and which job is higher demand. Nurse or PA?

  • Answer:

They are totally different positions, and have different levels of training. Being a nurse is a great stepping stone to becomming a PA, or can be a great position by itself. Nurses are in higher demand, but a PA will pay more. It just depends how much school/responsibility you want to have. Both are great.

It doesn't matter, both are good.

Don't do either. Be an accountant or an engineer of some sort.

Both are in demand, although nursing is moreso in demand. You also have the option of getting a master's degree in nursing and becoming a nurse practitioner, women's health nurse, etc. They have many of the same qualifications, yet are very different jobs. Nursing has alot more of hands on training and their job is more hands on as well. Do your research.

PAs require a BS degree in order to get into an MSN/Ph.D both are in demand but nursing has the highest in demands.

A nursing degree makes you a nurse, not a PA. You need to go through a PA program to become a PA. Both jobs are in demand, but regular nurses have a larger shortage, especially over the long-term in the next several decades.
