My only guess and it is just a guess has to have something to do with the mods. I am not a big lap top fan so I don't know exactly what the hardware you are running is but the game should still play alright on a laptop. I am playing it on a somewhat older computer and old AMD 64 3200+ processor and only a gig of ram and a 7300 gt geforce grahpics card and it plays almost awsome. This is all on a desktop computer. Like I say I am not a big lap top fan.
