    The Laptop you have should not be a problem. I checked its system and seems like a pretty good laptop. It's armed with Directx10 which is an overkill because Sims 2 only need Directx9. The only bad thing about this laptop is the graphic card. If my sources are right, you have Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. If you are a new newbie to the computer world, Intel cards are the lowest of the low. I reckon it's your graphic card that is the problem. If it will help, update your computer with the latest DirectX.Look around on google.
