    Changing between inlines and quads is really easy. The only gotcha is that most non-racing quads have a toe brake. You have to remember which end to touch down for stopping. If you are skating distances instead of doing figure type moves, the inlines are a lot safer and faster outdoors. The wide, short, flat profile wheels of quads are prone to stopping suddenly if there is small debris (pebbles, twigs) where you skate. The narrow, tall, rounded inline wheels will tend to kick things out or bounce over them. Quads are also a lot slower. If you want to use them in a small area to work on dance or figure moves, then quads are more stable at slow speeds and for that type of moves.
