Answer:
On Christmas eve many of the tourist attactions in London will be closing early and public transport will be winding down for the holidays. On Christmas day everthing will be close and there will be no public transport in London. On Boxing day most places will be close and there will be very limited public transport. Therefore no tourist attractions will be open until the 27th Dec. Your best best is to check out the London Tourist board website which gives you a general idea of what's going on and/or London Time out which gives weekly listings of what's going on

London is really easy to walk around (though it is quite a walk) If you get off at the Westminster tube station, Westminster is across the street and the London eye is across the Thames. you can walk along the Thames and see all the old buildings and the bridges including the Tower bridge which outsiders all seem to think is called London bridge. Tate Modern museum and Shakespeare's globe theater are also along this walk. you can always just look at the outside of buildings if there not open Tower of London is pricey but you can see the crown jewels, its a must see and at the top of my list. If you walk down past Westminster Abbey will get to St. James Park across from Buckingham Palace and Green park is right there too you can still look at the palace even if its not open. I went to the British Museum (Holburn station), Hampton Court, Windsor Castle and Harrods (Knightsbridge station)(a must for the shoppers) some of the tube stations are named for the famous places close to them such as Piccadilly Circus (shopping),and Hyde Park Corner. Have fun Im so jealous.
