How can I deal with some hornets?

What can I do to deter the hornets from continuing to try to make a nest?

    After you remove the nest, put some double-sided sticky tape over the place where they want to build. They won't be able to build a new nest on top of the tape. It's a simple, cheap and non-chemical solution.

Go out around 6PM and spray. Leave the nest so others won't start building a new one. Your mistake is removing the nest which is an invite to the next batch.

Save your large plastic jars such as wide mouth salsa jars, and hang them[without the lid] in different locations in your garden. When the hornets start a nest inside a jar close the jars or spray the nest and discard it.
