Root hair cells: Villi are hair like projections that reabsorb salts and water into the blood stream. Intestinal epithelial cells: look like thin small cells (with nuclei) and on their surface they will have a layer of micro villi, the microvilli looks like a brush-border and this will increase the surface available for absorption of food molecules into the tissues.
