How do I use an old version of MSN messenger without having to upgrade?

I'm trying to use MSN messenger 6 but every time I try and log on it tells me I need to upgrade. I do not want to upgrade it so how I get passed this?

Why would you want to use an older version? The newer versions have every thing the old ones had and more. No cons or sideaffects at all. Just upgrade.
