  • Answer:

In terms of the medical field, there are a variety of jobs. You could work for a medical management company doing mergers and acquisitions, contracting, be in-house legal counsel for health insurance companies or hospitals. Instead of going for business, look into the HealthCare Administration degrees. This will give you a better understanding of operations, what managed care is all about, and so on. I've worked in the healthcare industry for 16+ years now. Although it wasn't something I wanted to do, I have found it's a fascinating industry. Best of luck to you!

Business could lead to a job in finance at a hospital (or human resources or something like that depending on your concentration). Law could lead to a job in Risk Management or Quality Control at a hospital or medical centre. If you become a lawyer you could work for doctors or a hospital as legal counsel or on the other side as a representative for patients who sue hospitals or doctors.
