My ears are swollen and hot help?

Help please! I recently got plugs. in my ears. the smallest size, but now my ears are infected and swollen....

  • how can i make them uninfected? i cant take the plugs out they are too swollen...

  • Answer:

chances are you are allergic to the material the plugs are made of. Try takeing benadryl or rubbing benadryl cream on your ear after washing it really well with an antibacterial soap. you can also put camphopenique on them to help a little but the best bet of all is to go to the doctor.

You will need to go to the urgent care center or your doctor who can remove them for you, flush your ears, and examine them. Then you will require an antibiotic ear drop, and possibly pill form antibiotic as well. Unfortunately, this is not a "treat it at home" type of problem.

Keep putting either rubbing alcohol or sea breeze on them with a Qtip, it stings pretty bad but it'll help with the infection. Make sure you wash them with soap and water every day in the shower, and put something like polysporin on them. Hope they feel better soon!

Better start treating your ears with some peroxide or alcohol. If it doesn't improve after a few days, better get to the doctor!

You need to get to a doctor very soon, even the emergency room. You don't want to mess with your hearing.
