The best thing to do is to ask if that employer has a secure web page that you can go online and apply. Once they have received your application, it will take a little bit of time for their human resource department to review your application and contact you. From there, they would probably schedule you an appointment and ask for your resume. This would at least buy you some time until you can actually relocate up there. You should have started since about 3 to 4 months ago except if the company you are currently working with has an office in that city that you are moving to, you might want to think about transfering to that location. Depending on you level of education I mean if you have a college degree whether a bachelors, masters, it should not be too hard for you to find a job dependng on the field, especially the cities in the south.
