How do I get my old Windows Live Messenger back?

  • Answer:

    1. Go to Control Panel and select Uninstall a program and then Programs and Features 2. In Programs and Features, scroll down and find Windows Live Essentials 2011. 3. Right Click on Windows Live Essentials 2011 and click Uninstall/Change on the pop up menu that comes up. 4. On the window that comes up, select the 1st one and follow the instructions (remove all 2011 programs). 5. Once you have uninstalled it, download Windows Live Essentials 2009: http://filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/7560/ 6. When the download is complete, open the installer and follow the instructions. 7. Once finished, you should be able to use the old Windows Live Messenger once again.
