i am looking into buying a 1988 ford bronco 4x4. it runs and drives fine an automatic but the motor on the transfer case for the 4x4 needs to be replaced i ain't too knowledgeable ...show more

They are a good tough unit. The shift motor is relatively easy to remove and replace, ( you can try cleaning and reusing the motor as Josh suggested) but a new one here in Canada is about $300.00.
