Can having Instagram downloaded from a 2nd party app store (One Mobile Market) on a Kindle Fire HD cause problems for the device?

You should have tried to troubleshoot your problem first to find out the cause. I have used 1Mobile on my phone... it seems like an interesting 3rd Party App Store for Android... but the apps are filled with ads. Also, in order to use it, you have to first install 1Mobile "manager app" that is ad filled, itself. What I do is... install it on a "case by case" basis... meaning... if I need to install an app there... I use it.. but then when I'm done I delete the 1Mobile "manager" app until I need to use it again. As far as your Kindle goes... what happens when you uninstall that app? Did you try performing a Reset on your device to bring it back to factory condition?
