  The rates are different from one place to the next and it depends on what part of the country you live in. I would also look into banquet halls. It depends if you want to bring your own food and drink or not. many hotels legal must provide the food and drink (especially alcohol) from their menu. The room maybe a good price, but once you add food, service, clean up etc. It can jump. I used a mid high end place last summer in Michigan for 75 person dinner and we spent $11,000. I have used a banquet hall at the Knights of Columbus for my grandfathers birthday and they let me bring food in (which I saved huge on) and we used their bar which was super affordable drinks. Also hotels can let you rent actual rooms for much cheaper if you have guest that want to stay too. Also look at country clubs, churches, parks, recreation centers, JCC's, schools, boats, etc.
