Tech Support: How do I fix my Samsung LED TV's picture? It has a green tint.
-
Hi! I have a Samsung LED TV. All of a sudden the picture showed deep contrast. I then increased brightness to 100% to compensate. However now, when the picture is dark (or meant to be black), there is a green tint. This happens irrespective of the type of input (cable, chromecast, etc.) Can this be fixed or is it time for a new TV?

Answer:
Not sure what you mean "showed deep contrast" The brightness control, despite its name actually controls the "black level" and yes, if it is too high, on LCDs it may look like Green, especially when you look it from an angle. Increasing brightness makes blacks look washed out. To control while levels, use the contrast control. You may want to use a color calibration DVD to properly adjust your picture.
