What is getting your wisdom teeth taken out like?

let's see I waited on the seat for a couple of minutes, then the dentist put something in my mouth, I think it was a gel I still don't know. after 5ish minutes, my body felt weird, and then i went numb all over. it was pretty cool lol. then the dentist came back and proceeded to take my teeth out with pliers. i thought he was crushing them. i didn't feel a thing. he took out all four but i must've been loopy because i counted 3. afterwards my lips were swollen, my mouth was a dam full of blood. the pain didn;'t come in for like an hour after. that day was HORRIBLE. I went to sleep many times just to avoid it. I took vicodin, but that made me dizzy and extremely hot. I ate noodles all day, i couldnt use the gauze because of the pain. for me it only lasted one day, but i answered another guy's question, and that person's pain has gone for 4ish days. good luck and be strong. don't hold back the tears, lol.

I got my wisdom teeth out a few months ago. It wasn't as bad as everyone says it is. I mean yeah i was swollen for a few days and couldn't eat much. But as for the actual pain. Its not even that bad. I didn't even need to take the pain killers after the first day. Just keep up with the ice. 15 minutes on. 15 minutes off. Or something like that. I don't remember exactly. Just relax and don't worry about it. Best of luck.

You will be doped enough to where you may feel the "tug" as they come out. Afterward, not enough discomfort to worry about. Rinse with warm salt water. By the way it is good to get them out so your jaw is not crowded and you can clean your back teeth better. Good on you!

um. i think they will put you to sleep AFTER your procedure. it will hurt a little of course ^-^ BUT! be glad that tis out!! be greatful the docs took time to take it out. after your procedure. make sure that you take more careful with your teeth. and dont worry. dentists wont give that much pain to you. just relax cus they know what to do
