  it would not be the fuse or it would not light up. it sounds like the tape is not dropping once you put it in. if the radio works then it,s hooked up right. you put the tape in but it won,t start to play? sounds like the tape is not dropping down to the head so it can play. did you try another tape in it? sometimes a tape can be a little warped and won,t drop.
