How to prevent a burn from scarring?

What's the best way to treat a burn to prevent scarring?

  • Answer:

If the burn was bad enough to lose skin, then you will want to keep it clean and out of the sun because the two different layers of skin will tan differently and you can damage your pigment in the new skin that is growing back. (the pink new skin) You may have a lighter spot for a long time if not permanently causing the pigment to never look the same as the rest of your body.

You can use a product called Solar-Cane. Its a spray. Works for sunburns as well. After it starts healing keep it moist with a mild lotion with aloe in it. Keep it as clean as possible.

first prevent infection, then use tropical cream from the drug store... be sure to take high calarie food and lots of protein but not too much because tyou can end up with a protuded scarring. But even if you do get a scar, you can get rid of the scar by pealing off the skin layer so it grows again; you have to cut self 1mm deep with surrounding epidermis tissue, you will have a 2nd chance.

don't let it get infected first--any to reduce scarring get an aloe vera plant and break open a stem and get the gel out and rub onto ur arm
