How do you know when stitches are ready to come out?

Will my stitches come out by themselves?

  • I had a small skin cyst removed from the groin area and I would like to know if the stitches will come out by themselves.

External sutures have to be removed. But the other lady was right in that inside there may be dissolving sutures but outside sutures need to come out in say a week. But she is also right in that the doc needs to tell you about this. Call his nurse.
