What are the different fish seasons?

What are the seasons for freshwater fishing.....and whaT do each of the fish feed on?

    here in WA we fish for sturgeon year round and Salmon is closed for only a few months. for sturgeon we use anchovies or smelt. for salmon we use spinners or eggs.

to get a reasonable answer, i would think that it would be best, to ask 1 question, stating . what fish ( there are many varieties of fish around the world & they don't all eat the same thing ). What location ( most fish aren't located everywhere ). There are books available that covers different species of fish & their distribution , maybe something like that, would make for some good reading

so in my island,we can fish through the year round....n mostly they feed more on hens "matiere fetal(french) or worms
