    I actually think it has more to do with the course. This year Davis set up Medinah to be EASY. The rough is about an inch high, two cuts deep. So, if the captains have done this before in previous Cups, then i think the courses play easier which allow for taking more chances with more success, and looks on TV like these guys step up their game huge.. when really they play a course set up for low scoring.

Right now excited for this years Ryder Cup. USA USA USA. How can you not like the atmosphere?

I think it is due to the atmosphere. Through out the season they play as individuals. Now they have to come together as one.
